SPRINGHILL
DADS v P&O RANGERS
By U>Direct
The Dads seem
to be loosiung a bit of interest; 5-a-sides very poorly attended. A
plague of various minor ailments amongst the normally staunchest attendees
- and no note from Mum! Goodness knows where Tim is off to - he cried
off at the last minute. Les Maros has a touch of housemaids knee
and Robbie Thorpe reckons he's got a cold, huh! Unfortunately, Mad Mal
has been dumped between the sticks, gulp.
Still, against P&O the Kids should be able to manage a result. Dave
Smith will be playing for his colleagues, though, which won't help.

All Shopped out
Transformed shopper, Tim |
The gauntlet was
laid down and Woman took up the challenge. Hundreds of women
wrote in response to the male-makeover competition with the
offer of the chance of a completely new look, courtesy of the
new menswear store Code in WestQuay. Here's how our winner -
the man most needing a makeover in Southampton - was transformed. |
Can you transform my
husband?

Code specialise
in helping to solve today's dress code conundrum for men where
the dress down revolution at work means that more than suits
and ties are acceptable attire in the workplace.
Code staff are fully trained to provide wardrobe advice, taking
into concideration customer's likes, dislikes, physique and
colouring. The store also makes choosing easier and quicker
with a 12 Essential Items Guide where key clothes are grouped
together. So if funds or time are an issue, all your man has
to do is head for this area.

Transforming Tim
For 34-year-old
Tim Hart from Upper Shirley, creating a smart-casual look was
the aim. Tim's wife Helen nominated him because the engineer
at Chilworth Industrial Park hadn't quite mastered the art of
dressing down.
"He's a willing but reluctant shopper." |

"A little
on the short side too at only 5ft 6in so he finds it hard to
find the right clothes. He could really do with some advice
on mixing garments in a complementary style. Tim is a busy man
with DIY projects constantly on the go and our three sons -
Sam 7, Peter 8 and Charles keep him active too.
Tim was transformed into a trendy, man about town with
a grey, casual suit teamed with a burgundy shirt that was smart
enough for an evening out.
Tim said; "It's not something I would have chosen for myself
but I love it. I'm amazed how comfortable it feels - normally
I find suits very restrictive but I can move really easy in
this one." |
Helen's verdict?
" He looks wonderful. Stunning. Very Richard Gere-ish!"
The Dads would like
to echo Helen's sentiments and congratulate Code on
a difficult job well done - and wasn't he!

|

Just about the only thing of note
from a Dads point of view - towards the end, Jim Allen managed to upset
one of the young lads who were playing for P&O and the lad was so
upset, he trudged off towards to changing room almost in tears.
You rotter!
